Peter Falzon serves as the Executive Director of the Cal Poly Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE), bringing decades of experience as a serial entrepreneur and startup leader in technology and life sciences. A Michigan native and graduate of the University of Michigan Ross School of Business with distinction, Peter has built and scaled venture-stage and public companies across healthcare IT, medical devices and technology.
Most recently, Peter served as CEO of Ripple Science, a University of Michigan healthcare IT spinout that provides cloud-based software to support clinical research participant engagement. Prior to that, he spent 15 years managing life science and technology companies in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. Earlier in his career, Peter lived and worked in Japan for more than a decade—an experience that continues to shape his global perspective on business, leadership and entrepreneurship.
Peter’s passion for entrepreneurship is rooted in the belief that bold ideas and interdisciplinary collaboration can drive meaningful impact for students, communities and regional economies. Having mentored student founders and supported university-based innovation throughout his career, he’s excited to help strengthen Cal Poly’s entrepreneurial ecosystem and position the CIE as a connective hub across campus and the Central Coast.
Outside of work, Peter enjoys traveling, hiking and sailing.
