At the Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship (CIE), we know that mentors play a key role in enriching the educational experience of Cal Poly students and helping them advance in their careers. We rely on alumni and community members to provide valuable business advice and support to guide young entrepreneurs on their journey.
Mentorship is one of the most valuable assets for any entrepreneur. At the CIE, we match student entrepreneurs with mentors and advisors at various stages of business development to help them navigate challenges, avoid common mistakes, and accelerate their progress.
Our mentorship program connects students with seasoned professionals, including investors, technology entrepreneurs, accountants, lawyers, and more—providing expert guidance through every stage of business growth.
The mentor program is an essential component of the center that extends across nearly all of our programs and events. More than 200 Cal Poly alumni and community members have volunteered their time as mentors, coaches and advisors.
At this time, we are fortunate to have a full roster of mentors actively engaged with our students and programs. However, we’re always excited to hear from experienced professionals who are interested in contributing to the entrepreneurial ecosystem. While we may not have immediate opportunities, we will keep your information on file and reach out when the right fit arises.
